For launching a virtual reality (VR) experience centre JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT) has partnered with PeriscapeVR offering location-based entertainment to travelers in Terminal 4 at New York John F Kennedy International Airport, US.
The pop-up for six-month aims to offer immersive virtual and mixed reality experiences featuring curated virtual reality to more than 70,000 travelers per day.
Located in Retail Lounge Terminal 4’s, the PeriscapeVR’s Experience Center includes freestanding VR towers with 12 stations, which have been designed considering travellers’ security, awareness, and outstanding customer experience.
JFKIAT Commercial vice president Edward Midgley said: “We are thrilled to partner with PeriscapeVR to bring the first airport VR Experience Center offering location-based entertainment to travelers at Terminal 4.
The classification of Available entertainment options are into five separate categories: Experience, First Time, Create, Play, and Social Cause. Exclusive content is featured from some of the most respected brands in virtual reality.
Terminal 4’s Paradies Lagardère has teamed up with PeriscapeVR, in order to provide virtual reality location-based entertainment.
Architect Gensler has designed the centre. Featuring HP Windows Mixed Reality Headsets, as well as HP Z240 Tower Workstations, it offers the required performance for immersive VR experiences.
