Wi-Fi Services At Miami Airport Now Come Up With Vending Machines!

Vending machines sell drinks, chips, and phones but now at Miami airport, these machines also sell the Wi-Fi at cost. Miami International Airport now has vending machines with palm-sized portable Wi-Fi Service or hot spot. A Skyroam company team up with ZoomSystemsa. And with unlimited internet service, it is renting and selling devices. But at the airport, mobile Wi-Fi comes with a cost.

According to the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, the boxy vending machines, which also include power packs and adapters, are from Skyroam, an international Wi-Fi provider that describes its orange devices as “grab-and-go-WIFI.” Seven vending machines arrived at the airport beginning in March and there is one in each of the concourses.

The Skyroam Solis gadget can be connected to five devices. Every 24 hours of connection cost apply. Customers can also pay for a month to use an unlimited subscription. Renting the device costs apply for a day and customers can mail it back in a prepaid envelope when they return from their trips.

With a cost-effective alternative to local international roaming rates, the system allows its users to stay connected, said the director of Skyroam Executive Jing Liu.

MIA has more than 44 million passengers a year with more flights from Latin America and the Caribbean than any other airport in the US. Almost half of the passengers leave for Europe, the Middle East or Asia. According to Skyroam, the connection is secure. For the trip to the abroad, the traveler who uses the vending machine can also buy mobile charging, unlimited worldwide Wi-Fi, and other accessories.

According to the airport website at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the vending machines are also are available. The Miami airport also offers Wi-Fi in its terminal. Airlines and car rental companies are free to access.
