Rohith Jayawardene
Frankfurt to London
I upgraded to Business on this sector as it was a reasonable cost and since I had a long layover at Frankfurt from Bahrain, needed the use of the Lounge. The flight was on time, and as expected it was the usual professional, polite but non engaging service on board. As it was a midday flight, a cold lunch/snack and warm bread was served, along with drinks. Comfort wise, there is no difference between Economy and Business seats. The seat pitch is the same, and though the empty middle seat offers more space, considering this is just an hour flight, it did not make any difference. The experience on the outbound journey in Economy and return on Business was just the same except for the food and bar service. I would recommend this because it was a low price for the last minute upgrade.
Jan Lutz Reimer writes “After flying different airlines in the last months I noticed on this Washington Dulles to Hamburg (via Frankfurt) flight how good Lufthansa is, even in Economy Class,” he further adds “The staff onboard were professional and efficient. Shortly after takeoff they served drinks with a snack, 20 minutes later hot towels and then a hot and very decent, tasty dinner. The light concept of this Boeing 747-8 is great!”
Fotis Giannousas
Fotis Giannousas from Greece says Best airline in my opinion. I flew with Lufthansa from Lagos to Athens via Frankfurt 1 month ago. The cabin crew was excellent and ready to help. The entertainment was very good, food was ok, and the seats were very comfortable. There was no delay in the flight, and no turbulence. I would recommend flying with Lufthansa.”
PZ83
I am a frequent flayer and I take Lufthansa occasionally both for short and long distance. I never had problems, but my recently my flight was delayed and I missed a connection during a family emergency. The staff at the airport was very kind and I had no problem to receive a decent hotel, and re-arranging immediately the flight for the next day. Unfortunately, the missed connection implied losing a car rent and other troubles. The customer service agreed immediately compensation without involving lawyers or mediators. Well, to be honest I agree also with other reviews: it took quite some time to receive a confirm and a feedback after the first email. At one point, I also thought they disappeared…But the money arrived when they said (and my bank did not communicate it). Even when I was annoyed they were very professional. I understand the complaints by other passengers, but between all the troubles I had in my flights around the world Lufthansa has been the one of the few companies that really took responsibility when there were problems. And for me this is a fully deserved 5 star!
