An American Express Centurion Lounge will soon be opened at Denver International Airport. This luxury lounge will occupy 14,650 sq. ft. in the C Concourse. It is set to open in 2019 according to Denver City Council documents.
Those passengers who have American Express Platinum and Centurion cards can enter into this lounge for free. The lounge will offer the complimentary high-speed internet, food, drinks, showers and other amenities for their customers.
The vice president and general manager of Global Benefits and Services, American Express Josh McKay said, “Airport lounge access is one of our Platinum Card® Members’ favorite benefits, with our Card Members’ global lounge visits increasing 30 percent year over year.
He also added, “We are thrilled to share our plans to bring one of our signatures Centurion Lounges to the Denver International Airport, as Denver is one of the top airports our premium Card Members travel through.
Including San Francisco, Miami, and Philadelphia, American Express already has Centurion lounges at a number of international U.S. airports. Denver lounge will be the company’s second largest after its upcoming location at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
American Express told Business Wire it has seen a 36 percent increase in traffic through Denver among its premium cardholders within the past year.

We are pleased that we are able to offer such a high-quality product like the American Express Centurion Lounge to our passengers.”
The Denver International airport is the 5th largest and fastest growing airport in the United States that annually welcomes the more than 61 million passengers. Over the last two years, passenger traffic has grown by more than 12 percent.
The cardholders of any airline can use this lounge because the C Concourse is home to Southwest, Alaska, Spirit and Allegiant Airlines. The lounge is part of a number of changes coming to DIA, including several new restaurants.
