An announcement was made by American Express this morning that it plans to open its twelfth airport Centurion Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport in 2019.

The first Centurion Lounge at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport in March 2013 was opened by the premium credit card issuer and global services company. It has followed that up with locations at airports in Hong Kong, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Seattle, Miami, New York LaGuardia, Philadelphia, and San Francisco since then. It was also announced that a Centurion Lounge in January would be opening at Denver International Airport and New York JFK in 2019 as well.

American Express has released a few key facts about what travelers can expect though details are still limited. The new lounge will be accessible to passengers flying through Terminals 4 to 8 as well, which are the hubs for airlines including American Airlines and United, and will be located airside, post-security, at Tom Bradley International Terminal. Making it one of the largest Centurion Lounges in the network, it will span 13,900 square feet.

The amenities tend to include bar menus and complimentary food for a specific location, shower suites and premium restrooms, dedicated workspaces with free high-speed Wi-Fi access.

The new features include that so-called “tranquility area,” which will have both brightly dim and lit areas meant for travelers to adjust to new time zones in transit. There will also be a family room, a spa, and a bar serving wine and craft cocktails curated by mixologist Jim Meehan and sommelier Anthony Giglio.
