On October 4th, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport has announced that United Airlines will begin new non-stop daily flight between Chattanooga and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). United has also announced that it will also go to suspend service to Newark when this new route to Dulles begins in October.
The airport says the Washington Dulles flight is the second non-stop route to the nation’s capital from the Chattanooga Airport. It provides direct flights to nine cities and connections to countless international destinations to their customers. The aircraft will be an Embraer RJ 50.
The President of the Chattanooga Airport of Terry Hart, “United’s new direct flight to Washington Dulles, with over 120 destinations worldwide, is another tremendous opportunity for Chattanooga companies that are doing business in the Washington, D.C. area or on a global scale. While we are disappointed with the cancellation of the Newark service, we are very appreciative of United’s ongoing commitment to our region and our passengers who support our significant growth by flying in and out of Chattanooga.”
Schedule Time:
- The new direct flight between Chattanooga and Washington Dulles begins in October with two daily departures from both destinations.
- The United flights to Washington Dulles depart at 2:42 PM and 7:35 PM, and the flights to Chattanooga depart at 8:15 AM and 5:05 PM daily.
