Alaska Airlines will expand its roundtrip flights just in time for the holiday season between Palm Springs and Portland, New York and Seattle.
Alaska Airlines will be adding a daily nonstop flight to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport and Palm Springs International Airport starting Dec. 15, leaving scheduled at 2:35 p.m. On Jan. 12, 2019, the airline will return to a Saturday-only flight.
Scott White, CEO and president of the Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau said that the change could mean a lot of New Yorkers for Christmas.
Daily flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with varied frequencies are also being added by Alaska in the fall. 17 additional single departures will be added in October, 19 will be added in November and 30 in December.
Flight expansions plans of Alaska Airline will lead to competitive, and ultimately better fares for consumers in the holiday season.
The willingness Alaska Airlines to make positive changes and increase its frequencies will help ease overcrowding at Los Angeles International Airport.
