United Airlines Is Changing Its Pet Policy To Avoid High-Profile Problems!

This week only, a passenger while flying from Houston to New York in a United flight lose her dog. It all happens when a flight attendant forced a woman to stow her French Bulldog puppy’s carrier from under her seat to an overhead bin. This results in the death of dog as it didn’t survive the three-hour journey.

As a result of this, the airline is changing its pet carrier policy. United is planning to issue bright colored bag tags to customers traveling with in-cabin pets. This will allow the flight attendants to easily identify when someone’s traveling with a live animal.

In a statement, United claimed full responsibility for the incident and stated that “This was a tragic accident that should never have occurred, as pets should never be placed in the overhead bin. We are thoroughly investigating what occurred to prevent this from ever happening again.”

The new policy of the airline of using bright tags for pet carriers will be started by April. These planned changes would particularly affect in-cabin pets.
