Who would have known the celebration of National Drink Wine day will be the news of today. Celebrated on 18th of February Alaska Airlines will be offering a free glass of vino to the passengers who’ll be flying that day.
Technically, the day is to celebrate drinking wine but Alaska Airlines is running the promotion so as to promote its “Wine Flies Free” program. The program was established in 2007 which allows the passenger to check a case of wine from a limited number of West Coast cities for free for the members of Alaska’s Mileage plus frequently flyer program.
The usual $25 fee for one checked item will be relinquished if your reservation has a long Mileage Plan number.
Alaska airlines are about to expand it program adding 18 more cities to its list, earlier being originating from 11 different cities, passengers will be able to check wine from 29 different airports.
At following airports customers can check of 12 bottles for free:
California:
Fresno, Burbank, Monterey, Sacramento, Oakland, Ontario, Orange County, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Rosa, Santa Barbara, San Francisco.
Washington:
Bellingham, Wenatchee, Pasco, Pullman, Seattle, Walla Walla, Yakima, Spokane
Oregon:
Medford, Eugene, Redmond, Portland,
Lowa:
Lewiston, Boise.
